The damping factor of the XP 5000 is >250 in 8 ohm at 1kHz, however this doesn't mean that the unit won't work great in the 40 to 180 Hz frequency range - and even with speakers with impedances as low as 2 ohms (which is the minimum loading for these amplifiers).
Q: Is the crossover switch on the XP a global control? Can one side run subs and the other run the tops? I can only seem to get one or the other.
