Wednesday, November 12th, 2008Although all of our units feature a 6-pin FireWire connection, users are able to use a 4-pin adapter as all data is transfered in these pins alone. The additional 2 pins are for bus powering units, which none of the Helix Boards support and, out of all the Firefly units, only the Firefly 302 Plus is able to support.

Saturday, October 18th, 2008They do indeed. You will just need to select the device from the “Hardware Options” menu and select In01 (meaning channel input 1), In02, In03, etc. as the source for each individual track.

Friday, October 3rd, 2008The PAA3 is a Type I audio analyzer, meaning it has accuracy margin of less than ± 0.7 dB (in other words, it is extremely accurate). This makes it ideal for laboratory and field use, particularly in professional audio set ups. The Type I rating, however, also makes it more than accurate enough for use when setting up 5.1 or 7.1 speaker systems at home. The PAA3 function may also be used for measurement of building and enviornmental sounds, vehicles, etcetera.
