To take the sound pressure level in dB(A), you should first enter the SPL/LINE menu and select SPL. Next you want to enter the SETTINGS menu, and change the weighting to A weighting. After you've done this, exit all the menus, back to the main screen, and hold the ENTER button for about 2 seconds. The Sound Pressure Level meter should appear.
