Damping factor on the XP5000 amplifier
The damping factor of the XP 5000 is >250 in 8 ohm at 1kHz, however this doesn't mean that the unit won't work great in the 40 to 180 Hz frequency range - and even with speakers with impedances as low as 2 ohms (which is the minimum loading for these amplifiers). more

Do the MAX series of amplifiers have built-in limiters?
The MAX series of power amplifiers do indeed have limiters. It can be activated by the limiter switch on the rear panel. However, when the peak limiter is on, it does not guarantee that there will be zero distortion on the output, but it does ensure that the output power is limited. It protects your speakers from... more

Do the ICON amplifiers have a product safety certificate?
The ICON300 and ICON700 amplifiers carry a BSMI certification.

How many speakers can I hook up to a MAX amplifier?
You should be able to hook up to two speakers per channel to any of the MAX amplifiers without any trouble. More speakers may be possible, but is less adviseable. The minimum impedance of this series of amps is 4 ohms, so provided you don't go over this you should be okay. more
5.
Can I run the Phonic MAX power amplifier into a 2 ohm load?
It is not recommended, and doing so could be potentially dangerous to the amp. Users running this setting do so at their own risks, and should understand that such usage would void their product warranty.

Can you split the crossover on XP2100, XP3100 and XP5100?
Q: Is the crossover switch on the XP a global control? Can one side run subs and the other run the tops? I can only seem to get one or the other.
A: The crossover controls are global, therefore you cannot split the crossover on the XP2100, XP3100 or XP5100. more

Why is my amplifier overheating?
Please ensure that when mounting amplifiers in a rack that you always leave at least 2 rack spaces (preferably more) between the amplifier and any other equipment. Also, be sure to leave the rear of the rack clear to ensure the amplifier has plenty of room for ventilation. We would recommend at least 2 feet... more

Why does my XP amplifier light up red?
The XP amplifiers have 3 operating modes, each of which will cause the LED beside the Phonic logo to light up in a different color.
Green means the amplifier is running in stereo mode.
Yellow indicates the amplifier is in parallel mode.
Red indicates that bridge mono mode is activated. more
